Level 2 Swim Teacher

We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Swim Teacher to join our talented team. You’ll lead both group and individual lessons that spark confidence and progression in our swimmers. This role offers flexible hours, perfect for individuals seeking weekend and afternoon availability. Availability Requirements Your availability should include any of the following shifts: • Saturday and/or Sunday mornings • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and/or Friday afternoons This flexibility allows us to offer lessons during key demand periods and accommodate families’ schedules. Key Responsibilities • Deliver engaging and effective swim lessons to children (and possibly adults), focusing on skill development, safety, and enjoyment • Adapt teaching styles to suit different age groups and ability levels—from beginners to more advanced swimmers • Monitor student progress, offering feedback and encouragement while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene • Uphold the values of The Wave Academy by fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment Requirements • Swim England Level 2 teaching qualification (or equivalent recognised certification) • Current and clear DBS check • Strong interpersonal skills—patience, encouragement, and the ability to make children feel safe and supported • A playful yet structured teaching style, in line with the Academy’s nurturing philosophy  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to commit to the required availability What We Offer • £25 per hour — competitive rate reflecting your qualifications and expertise • A friendly, positive, and supportive work environment that values professional development • Opportunity to make a real difference in children’s learning—and enjoyment—of swimming • Flexible scheduling to suit your lifestyle How to Apply Interested candidates should apply by emailing Lucy at lucy@thewavesacademy.com or calling 07961 694703.
